Rugby Union have been the big mover on the BOIDC points table following the completion of round 11 matches on Saturday, whilst Orange CYMS have slipped from 2nd to 4th.
Rugby needed only 5 overs to pass Centrals first innings total of 164, after trailing by 41 runs at the start of the day's play. Hugh Taylor took his score from 75 to 119 before he was the 3rd wicket to fall at 186. Tanvir Singh was dismissed a short time later for 42 with Rugby pushing on for quick runs before the finally declared at 8/260 with a lead of 96. Rahul Narwal was the best of the Centrals bowlers, taking 3/38.
In their 2nd innings Centrals could only muster 154 with Narwal top scoring with 33 and George Currie (29), Anthony Salmon (23) and Josh Dawson (21) all making starts. Tanvir Singh claimed 5/32 off 12 overs and Sam MacPherson 3/38 for Rugby Union. The 61 runs needed for the outright victory were picked off with plenty of time to spare to secure maximum points.
At Morse Park 1, St Pats Old Boys pushed on into day 2 to add another 22 runs to their total before they were dismissed for 303. Brett Causer picked up the final wicket to finish with 2/52 and Hayden Griffith taking 3/54 off his 15 overs.
Orange City got off to a disastrous start in their chase, as Ben Parsons took 3 early wickets to have City 4/26. Brett Causer helped Shaun Grenfell (73) to add some stability, but when Causer was dismissed, Orange City were a long way from their target at 5/77. Parsons continued to dominate with the ball, finishing with 5/23 from 16.3 overs as Orange City were dismissed for 140.
At Wade Park, CYMS resumed at 3/63 in pursuit of Cavaliers’ 204. Harry Pearce kept things tight early and was rewarded with the wickets of Aditya Adey and Clint Moxon to leave CYMS at 5/91. Kyle Buckley and Charlie Greer (3/32) chipped in with wickets of their own as CYMS fell short of their mark, all out for 133. Rory Daburger top scored for CYMS with 57 while Pearce finished with 5/37 from 17 overs.
At Bathurst Sportsground, City Colts got the job done against Bathurst City. After declaring at 7/321 on day 1 and having Redbacks 1 wicket down at stumps, the City Colts bowlers continued to take regular wickets to deprive Redbacks the opportunity to build partnerships and chase the win. Redbacks were dismissed for 141 as Dave Rogerson took 4/56, Cooper Stephen 2/20 and Lochlan Shoemark 2/14. Best with the bat for Bathurst City was Matt Holmes with 39.
